FAFSA forms: available online only at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Remember that FAFSA is a free service, never pay for FAFSA. That is an indicator that it would be a scam.

Graduation Requirements: Completion of the FAFSA form is now a graduation requirement of LA.

TOPS Application: Filling out the FAFSA is the only way to apply for TOPS.

FAFSA Deadlines: Fill out FAFSA between Oct 1st of your senior year and June 30th right after graduation to meet the deadlines.

Needed Documents:

Social security numbers for student and parents (both need FAFSA ID'S)
Driver’s license number (if you have one)
Federal tax information (1040, 1040A, 1040EZ) (year of 2018)
Records for untaxed income for parent(s) (child support, interest income)
Information on cash; savings and checking accounts balances; investments

FAFSA For College: You must fill out the FAFSA every year that you are in college.
